SAFE-NL

Welcome to the web-site of SAFE-NL, the platform for Security: Applications, Formal aspects and Environments, in the NetherLands.

The next SAFE-NL workshop on the topic of "wireless network security", will be held Friday June 13, 2008 at the Telematics Institute, Enschede.

SAFE NL provides a forum for researchers, practitioners, and implementors from research institutions, industry and government agencies to exchange ideas on the state of the art in security technology, current and novel application areas of this technology, and on the requirements for effective deployment of secure systems.

To this end, SAFE-NL organises informal one-day workshops on security in the Netherlands, provides a moderated public mailing list for the exchange of ideas over security, and maintains this community web-site to inform a larger public of its activities.

We welcome contributions to our workshops from the security community at large. Presentations on any topic related to security and cryptography fall within scope of the workshop and will be considered for presentation by the program committee. See our call for presentations for details.

We also maintain a collection of relevant resources in the area of security research (e.g. funding opportunities).

SAFE-NL was formally launched on a kick-off workshop held at the University of Twente on January 18, 2002. Check the agenda for announcements regarding the next meeting, and a list of past meetings, with abstract and slides.

The SAFE-NL web-site is hosted by the 24CQET group in the Computer Science department of the University of Twente.

SAFE-NL is supported by the research program Sentinels. Sentinels is being financed by Technology Foundation STW, the Netherlands Organization for Scientific Research (NWO), and the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs.
