Identity 2.0 with Identity 1.0 tokens (or: how to use your eID to authenticate yourself over the Internet)

This talk discusses work in progress on using electronic identity cards (eID) to do Web client authentication. We will give a short introduction to Identity 2.0 standards (such as OpenID and Information Cards) and discuss how we plan to incorporate eIDs into these standards. The software that we are developing is built on top of software that was developed at Radboud Univertity during the ePassport security verification efforts of 2006. The project is sponsored by the NLnet foundation.
