Developments around DigiD

DigiD-burger started as a simple username/password facility, used once a year by the average citizen for his or her Income tax return. Its scope is now being enlarged to incorporate concepts such as sectoral numbers, Single Sign-on and more reliable means of authentication. DigiD also has a sibling, DigiD-Bedrijven, which never gained the popularity of DigiD burger. Finally, next year we will have a new facility GMV (Gemeenschappelijk Machtigings Voorziening) which allows us to enforce the 11th commandment: thou shalt not covet thine neighbour's DigiD. In this presentation we will explain how these pieces fit together and give a glimpse of what DigiD will look like in 2 years time. And although the general picture is becoming quite clear, we still have some interesting questions which we would like to discuss with the audience.
