Human Awareness in Intelligent Systems
Enabled by the advanced computing power and sensor technology a change will take place in Human Computer Interaction. In a multi-sensory environment, supported with embedded computer technology, future systems can capture and interpret what the users are doing and assist or collaborate with the users in real-time. Such an environment should be aware of users intentions, tasks and feelings, and allow people to interact with the environment in a natural way. In this talk I will discuss research topics on the integration of different (bodily) modalities in intelligent systems as well as examples of application area's such as security or elderly care in the home environment.
