SAFE-NL provides a moderated public mailing list for the exchange of ideas over security.Funding opportunities
There are several funding opportunities for research programs performed by industry and/or academia.
- The EC
6th Framework Program, in particular the
Information Society Technolgies
(IST) programme, in the area of
dependability and security (see also
Directorate D).

- A European Security Research Programme will be started in 2007. Watch the EU Security Research Website for announcements. See also communication (COM(2004)590) by the European Commision released, on the next steps regarding the establishment of a European Security Research Programme (ESRP).
- EUREKA is a European network supporting companies in international R&D projects.
- STW program Sentinels for funding security research in the Netherlands.
- The Jacquard software engineering research program.
- Kerckhoffs Institute offering a Master in Computer Security.
- Security PhD Association Netherlands (SPAN).
- OWASP Netherlands.
- Nederlandse Vereniging voor Security Onderzoek (NVSO)

- The CORDIS Security Research website.
- A report on Security Research in selected EU member states by Mathias Kirsten, December 2004, for VINNOVA, Sweden.
- We also maintain a list of security experts.
- The Institute of Informatics and Telematics of the Italian National research Council (IIT-CNR) maintains a mailing list serving as a forum for discussion and as a means of quick dissemination of announcements of conferences, events, jobs, new results, etc.. in the area of security. The list is sponsored by IFIP WG 1.7. on "Foundations of Security Analysis and Design".
